Everyone dreams of being the best version of themselves, but that dream never becomes a reality for many people. Even though it will be tough, you certainly can create the ideal you using the following four simple steps below:
1. Visualize Your Dream You
The first step for creating an ideal you is to visualize your dream self. After all, you can't create the best version of yourself unless you know what that looks like. Take your time when visualizing your dream you so that you have a clear and explicit idea of what you want to change about yourself. During this phase, also consider why you want to improve to have a further idea of your ideal self.
2. Create a Plan
Once you know what you want to be, you need to create a plan to make it happen. Creating a plan is the most important step for turning your dream into a reality. Make sure the plan includes small enough steps that are attainable but still push you in the right direction. Your plan should have various steps, including short-term, mid-range, and long-term goals.
3. Fine-Tune the Plan
After creating the plan, you should begin following it. At first, the plan will be difficult, but you will eventually get the hang of it. As you are following the plan, fine-tune it anytime you see any problems or difficulties arise. Fine-tuning your plan makes it more relevant and applicable to your life.
For example, you will want to fine-tune your plan if some short-term goals are unattainable at the moment and need to be moved to mid-range goals instead.
4. Stay Optimistic
Throughout the entire journey, stay optimistic. Although this may sound like the easiest step of all, it is actually the hardest. Staying optimistic will be easy at first, but you will likely feel worn down within a couple of weeks and want to give up. Keep your mind positive so that you can stick to your plan and create the best you possible.
By following the four steps above, you can start to create an ideal you. Remember, creating the ideal you isn't as simple as counting to four. Instead, it is a journey that lasts a lifetime. In fact, you will likely never reach your ideal you, but you can keep striving for better anyways.
